Moving away from your home country is one of the hardest things you can do. This decision is often made with a sense of excitement and adventure at the unknown, and at the start of something new. Expats are often met with many good things in their new home, as well as many challenges they did not expect. These unexpected challenges, combined with the loneliness that often comes with moving far away, can be very difficult. And a move across the world does not mean that life’s old problems go away— many times these problems become more pronounced.

Have you thought to yourself:

  • How can I be well in this place?

  • I feel so lonely and wish I had someone to talk to.

  • If I had someone to help me navigate this journey, this experience would be so much better.

  • I wish my old problems hadn’t come with me to this new place.

To make things more complicated, life at home does not stop either— sometimes something happens that you could not have expected, and you aren’t able to go back to process and grieve. You can be well in this new place, but you can’t do it alone. Together, we can create a life that you love and feel good in, no matter where you are.
